Solar Energy Ballot
Initiatives in Florida

In 2016, I worked with a grassroots coalition called Floridians for Solar Choice to educate voters about two opposing solar amendments on Florida’s ballots. I was in charge of placing our Facebook and Google ads that were highly targeted for likely voters in the largest cities in Florida. Unlike our well-funded adversaries - the wealthy monopoly power companies - we were a scrappy, grassroots group that had limited funds. This led to many creative ways of spreading the word and I am proud to have created several paper-mache Monopoly Man costumes that were used at events across Florida, in graphics, and even a music video. I also produced social media kits for our allies, graphics for endorsements and quotes to showcase high profile Floridians speaking out and supporting solar choice.

Here is a stock photo I took of the Monopoly Man costume I created. This is still in use today because its a powerful image that tells you immediately something shady is going on.
